About David A. Specht
I’ve always said than an “expert” is merely someone who is down the road a little farther than you. For more than 23 years, I’ve learned about business the hard way — by trial and error — and it seemed like mostly error. Through it all, the businesses I’ve worked for, managed and started have all taught me valuable lessons. Those lessons are what I share with anyone who is willing to listen and learn.
In April 2011, my father, the Chairman of the Board of our company, passed away from Pulmonary Fibrosis. That moment made me realize how important it was to leave a legacy. He left me with a lot of wisdom and experience, and the charge to leave something to those behind me. It is a mantle I do not take lightly.
As an evangelical Christian, I feel a responsibility to show that faith and business are not mutually exclusive. In fact, they are mutually beneficial. Many of the lessons I teach are founded in scripture and Biblical principles.
I am a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the first gulf war as a maintainer for the B-52 bomber. I learned a ton about leadership, teamwork and hard work.
